API gotchas
- Grain requires a
Public-Api-Versionheader on every request. Nango sends2026-10-01by default. To pin another version, sendNango-Proxy-Public-Api-Versionwith your proxy request (or set the header in your function). See Grain’s versions page for current and deprecated versions. - A personal access token has the same access as the user who created it. It doesn’t expire, but the user can revoke it at any time.
- To access all recordings in a workspace, use a workspace access token instead. Only workspace admins can generate one, and it isn’t available on all Grain plans.
- List endpoints, such as
POST /_/public-api/v2/recordings, usePOSTwith a JSON body and cursor pagination. Pass the returnedcursorto fetch the next page; anullcursor means there are no more results. - Rate limits apply per token: a burst of 30 requests, refilling at 2 requests per second. Requests over the limit return
429with aRetry-Afterheader.
