🚀 Quickstart

Connect to Canva (MCP) with Nango and start calling tools in minutes. Canva MCP uses OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration, meaning no app registration is required.
1

Create the integration

In Nango (free signup), go to Integrations -> Configure New Integration -> Canva (MCP).
2

Authorize Canva

Go to Connections -> Add Test Connection -> Authorize, then log in to Canva. Later, you’ll let your users do the same directly from your app.
3

Call a Canva MCP tool

Make your first MCP request to Canva to initialize a session. Replace the placeholders below with your secret key, integration ID, and connection ID:
curl "https://api.nango.dev/mcp" \
  -X POST \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-SECRET-KEY>" \
  -H "Provider-Config-Key: <INTEGRATION-ID>" \
  -H "Connection-Id: <CONNECTION-ID>" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "id": 1,
    "method": "initialize",
    "params": {
        "protocolVersion": "2024-11-05",
        "capabilities": {},
        "clientInfo": {
            "name": "my-app",
            "version": "1.0.0"
        }
    }
}'
Or fetch credentials with the Node SDK or API.✅ You’re connected! Check the Logs tab in Nango to inspect requests.

📚 Canva (MCP) integration guides

Nango uses dynamic client registration with Canva’s OAuth server. You do not need to register an MCP application — just create the integration in Nango and authorize with your Canva account. Official docs: Canva MCP
