Overview

To authenticate with Recall.ai, you will need:
  1. Region - The region where your Recall.ai account is hosted (e.g., us-east-1, us-west-2, eu-central-1, ap-northeast-1).
  2. API Key - A key that grants secure access to the API, enabling authorized applications to interact with Recall.ai resources and services.
This guide will walk you through determining your region and generating your API Key within Recall.ai.

  • You must have a Recall.ai account.

Step 1: Determine Your Region

Recall.ai uses region-specific base URLs. Your region is typically displayed in your Recall.ai dashboard. Use the table below to identify your region:
  • US East (us-east-1): us-east-1
  • US West (us-west-2): us-west-2
  • Europe Central (eu-central-1): eu-central-1
  • Japan Northeast (ap-northeast-1): ap-northeast-1

Step 2: Generating Your API Key

  1. Log in to your Recall.ai account.
  2. Navigate to the Developers page in your account settings.
  3. Click + New API Key, provide a name for your API Key, then click Create Key.
  4. Your API key will be generated. You can copy it from the API Keys list.

Step 3: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your Region and API Key:
  1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Recall.ai.
  2. Enter your Region and API Key in their respective fields.
  3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
You are now connected to Recall.ai.
