Overview

To authenticate with Chili Piper using an API key, you need:

1. API Key - An API Access Token scoped to the permissions your integration needs.

This guide will walk you through generating an API Access Token from the Chili Piper Command Center.

Step 1: Generating your API key

1. In the Chili Piper Command Center, go to Integrations in the left sidebar.
2. Select the Credentials tab, then the API Access Tokens sub-tab (not HTTP Auth).
3. Click Generate Token.
4. Select the permissions (scopes) the token needs, then click Generate.
5. Copy the token — it is shown only once.

Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your API Key:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Chili Piper.
2. Enter the API Key in the field provided.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.

You are now connected to Chili Piper.
