# Skio - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Skio, you need:

1. **API Token** - A key that grants Nango permission to interact with Skio's APIs resources and services.

This guide will walk you through generating your **API Token** within Skio.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have an account with Skio.

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Generating your API Key

1. Log in to your Skio dashboard.
2. Click the **API** button in the left-hand navigation bar.
3. Provide a name and generate your **API Token**.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your **API Token**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Skio.
2. Enter your **API Token** in its designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
