# Prive - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Prive, you need:

1. **API Key** -A key that grants secure access to the API, enabling authorized applications to interact with Prive resources and services.

This guide will walk you through obtaining the API Key within Prive.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have an account with Prive.

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Requesting Your Prive API Key

1. To request your unique Prive API Key, contact the support team via email at [cs@tryprive.com](mailto:cs@tryprive.com) or through the support section of your account dashboard.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your **API Key**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Prive.
2. Enter your **API Key** in the designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
