# Gorgias Basic - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Gorgias, you need one key pieces of information:

1. **API Key** - Your Gorgias Access Key
2. **Domain** - Your Gorgias SubDomain

This guide will walk you through finding or creating those credentials within Gorgias.

### Prerequisites:

* You must set up an administrator account with Gorgias.

#### Step 1: Finding Gorgias API Key Secret

1. Log into your Gorgias account and navigate to `Your Profile`.
2. Navigate to settings and then choose `Rest API`.
3. Click the `Create API` key button.
4. Copy/paste your `username` and `API key` in a secure location.

#### Step 2: Connect Your Gorgias Account

To authenticate using your API credentials, navigate to the Gorgias authentication form.
Enter your credentials for **Username**, **Password** and **Domain** in their respective fields.

Click "Connect" to complete the authentication.
