# ClickSend - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with ClickSend, you will need:

1. **Username** - Your ClickSend account username.
2. **API Key** - Your ClickSend API key (used as the password for Basic Authentication).

This guide will walk you through finding your credentials within your ClickSend dashboard.

### Prerequisites:

* You need an active ClickSend account.
* You must have access to the [ClickSend Dashboard](https://dashboard.clicksend.com/).

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Finding Your Username and API Key

1. **Log in** to your [ClickSend Dashboard](https://dashboard.clicksend.com/).
2. Go to the [API Credentials page](https://dashboard.clicksend.com/account/subaccounts).
3. Copy your **Username** and **API Key**.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with ClickSend.
2. Enter your **Username** and **API Key** into their designated fields (the API Key will be used as the password).
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
