# Pocket

> Integrate your application with the Pocket API

## 🚀 Quickstart

Connect to Pocket with Nango and see data flow in 2 minutes.

**1. Create the integration**

In Nango ([free signup](https://app.nango.dev)), go to [Integrations](https://app.nango.dev/dev/integrations) -> *Configure New Integration* -> *Pocket*.

**2. Authorize Pocket**

Go to [Connections](https://app.nango.dev/dev/connections) -> *Add Test Connection* -> *Authorize*, then enter your API key. Later, you'll let your users do the same directly from your app.

**3. Call the Pocket API**

Let's make your first request to the Pocket API (list recordings). Replace the placeholders below with your [Environment API key](/docs/reference/backend/http-api/api-keys), [integration ID](https://app.nango.dev/dev/integrations), and [connection ID](https://app.nango.dev/dev/connections):

**cURL**

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://api.nango.dev/proxy/v1/public/recordings?page=1&limit=5" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-API-KEY>" \
  -H "Provider-Config-Key: <INTEGRATION-ID>" \
  -H "Connection-Id: <CONNECTION-ID>"
```

**Node**

Install Nango's backend SDK with `npm i @nangohq/node`. Then run:

```typescript theme={null}
import { Nango } from '@nangohq/node';
const nango = new Nango({ apiKey: '<NANGO-API-KEY>' });
const res = await nango.get({
    endpoint: '/v1/public/recordings',
    params: { page: 1, limit: 5 },
    providerConfigKey: '<INTEGRATION-ID>',
    connectionId: '<CONNECTION-ID>'
});
console.log(res.data);
```

Or fetch credentials with the [Node SDK](/docs/reference/backend/backend-sdk/node#get-a-connection-with-credentials) or [API](/docs/reference/backend/http-api/connections/get).

✅ You're connected! Check the [Logs](https://app.nango.dev/dev/logs) tab in Nango to inspect requests.

**4. Implement Nango in your app**

Follow our [Auth implementation guide](/docs/guides/auth/auth-guide) to integrate Nango in your app.

To obtain your own production credentials, follow the connect guide linked below.

## 📚 Pocket integration guides

Nango maintained guides for common use cases.

## 🧩 Pre-built syncs & actions for Pocket

Explore Nango-provided actions in your dashboard. [Extend and customize them](/docs/guides/functions/functions-guide) to fit your needs.

*No pre-built syncs or actions available yet.*

> Not seeing the integration you need? [Build your own](/docs/guides/functions/functions-guide) independently.

## 🚨 API Gotchas

* Pocket wraps responses in a `{ success, data, pagination }` envelope.
* `GET /v1/public/recordings` filters by UTC date only (`start_date`/`end_date` as `YYYY-MM-DD`) and paginates with `page`/`limit` (max 100); there is no updated-after cursor.
* Personal API keys read only their owner's recordings, and personal-key responses omit the `recorded_by` object (organization keys, created under Organization settings, can list organization recordings instead).
* Fetch full transcripts and summaries per recording with `GET /v1/public/recordings/{id}?include_transcript=true&include_summarizations=true`.
