# iManage Work

> Integrate your application with the iManage Work API

## 🚀 Quickstart

Connect to iManage Work with Nango and see data flow in 2 minutes.

<Steps>
  <Step id="create-integration" title="Create the integration">
    In Nango ([free signup](https://app.nango.dev)), go to [Integrations](https://app.nango.dev/dev/integrations) -> *Configure New Integration* -> *iManage Work*.
  </Step>

  <Step id="authorize-imanage" title="Authorize iManage Work">
    Go to [Connections](https://app.nango.dev/dev/connections) -> *Add Test Connection* -> *Authorize*, then log in to iManage Work. Later, you'll let your users do the same directly from your app.
  </Step>

  <Step id="call-imanage-api" title="Call the iManage Work API">
    Let's make your first request to the iManage Work API. It returns your session's authentication status and the API versions available on your server. Replace the placeholders below with your [Environment API key](/docs/reference/backend/http-api/api-keys), [integration ID](https://app.nango.dev/dev/integrations), and [connection ID](https://app.nango.dev/dev/connections):

    <Tabs>
      <Tab title="cURL">
        ```bash theme={null}
        curl "https://api.nango.dev/proxy/api" \
          -H "Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-API-KEY>" \
          -H "Provider-Config-Key: <INTEGRATION-ID>" \
          -H "Connection-Id: <CONNECTION-ID>"
        ```
      </Tab>

      <Tab title="Node">
        Install Nango's backend SDK with `npm i @nangohq/node`. Then run:

        ```typescript theme={null}
        import { Nango } from '@nangohq/node';
        const nango = new Nango({ apiKey: '<NANGO-API-KEY>' });
        const res = await nango.get({
            endpoint: '/api',
            providerConfigKey: '<INTEGRATION-ID>',
            connectionId: '<CONNECTION-ID>'
        });
        console.log(res.data);
        ```
      </Tab>
    </Tabs>

    Or fetch credentials with the [Node SDK](/docs/reference/backend/backend-sdk/node#get-a-connection-with-credentials) or [API](/docs/reference/backend/http-api/connections/get).

    ✅ You're connected! Check the [Logs](https://app.nango.dev/dev/logs) tab in Nango to inspect requests.
  </Step>

  <Step id="implement-in-app" title="Implement Nango in your app">
    Follow our [quickstart](/docs/getting-started/quickstart) to integrate Nango in your app.

    To obtain your own production credentials, follow the setup guide linked below.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Use the customer ID and default library

Most Work API endpoints include the customer ID and library ID in the path, for example `/work/api/v2/customers/{customerId}/libraries/{libraryId}/workspaces`. Nango stores both on the connection but doesn't add them to requests for you. Read them from the connection and build the path:

```typescript theme={null}
const connection = await nango.getConnection('<INTEGRATION-ID>', '<CONNECTION-ID>');
const { customerId, libraryId } = connection.connection_config;
// The default library is optional, so fall back to one your app chooses
const library = libraryId || '<YOUR-LIBRARY-ID>';
// Search the library's workspaces by name
const res = await nango.get({
    endpoint: `/work/api/v2/customers/${customerId}/libraries/${library}/workspaces`,
    params: { name: 'Acme' },
    providerConfigKey: '<INTEGRATION-ID>',
    connectionId: '<CONNECTION-ID>'
});
```

## 📚 iManage Work integration guides

Nango maintained guides for common use cases.

* [How do I link my account?](/docs/api-integrations/imanage/connect)\
  Find your server hostname, customer ID, and default library to connect your account.

* [How to register your own iManage Work OAuth app](/docs/api-integrations/imanage/how-to-register-your-own-imanage-oauth-app)\
  Obtain OAuth credentials from iManage and enable the app for your firm.

Official site: [iManage](https://imanage.com/). The iManage Work API documentation is available to iManage customers and partners through the iManage Help Center.

## 🧩 Pre-built syncs & actions for iManage Work

Enable them in your dashboard. Extend and customize to fit your needs.

*No pre-built syncs or actions available yet.*

<Tip>Not seeing the integration you need? [Build your own](/docs/guides/functions/functions-guide) independently.</Tip>
