# Discogs

> Integrate your application with the Discogs API

## 🚀 Quickstart

Connect to Discogs with Nango and see data flow in 2 minutes.

    In Nango ([free signup](https://app.nango.dev)), go to [Integrations](https://app.nango.dev/dev/integrations) -> *Configure New Integration* -> *Discogs*. Enter the consumer key and consumer secret of your Discogs app (see the setup guide below).

    Go to [Connections](https://app.nango.dev/dev/connections) -> *Add Test Connection* -> *Authorize*, then log in to Discogs. Later, you'll let your users do the same directly from your app.

    Let's make your first request to the Discogs API (fetch the authenticated user's identity). ## API gotchas

* Discogs uses OAuth 1.0a (not OAuth 2), with the `PLAINTEXT` signature method.
* Discogs **requires a unique `User-Agent` header** on every API request. Nango sets one automatically for proxy requests.
* Discogs rate limits authenticated requests to 60 per minute per user. Check the `X-Discogs-Ratelimit-Remaining` response header.
* For single-user scripts, you can use a [Discogs personal access token](/docs/api-integrations/discogs-token) instead of OAuth.
