# Browserless - How do I link my account?

## Overview

To authenticate with Browserless, you need:

1. **Region** — the Browserless regional endpoint to send requests to.
2. **API Key** — a Browserless API key.

This guide will show you how to get them.

### Prerequisites

* A Browserless account. You can sign up for free at [browserless.io](https://www.browserless.io/signup/email?plan=free).

### Step 1: Choose your region

Your account has no assigned region: any region works with any account. Pick the one closest to you or to the sites you automate:

| Region | Value to select |
| - | - |
| US West (San Francisco) | `production-sfo.browserless.io` |
| Europe (London) | `production-lon.browserless.io` |
| Europe (Amsterdam) | `production-ams.browserless.io` |

### Step 2: Create an API key

1. Log in to your [Browserless account](https://browserless.io/account/). On the account home page, find the **API Key** section and click **Manage API keys** (or open **API Keys** in the sidebar).

2. Click **Create API Key**, enter a name for the key, and click **Create Key**.

3. In the **API key created** dialog, copy the key right away. It is shown only once.

Only account owners and admins can manage API keys.

### Step 3: Enter your credentials in the Connect UI

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Browserless.
2. Select your **Region** and enter your **API Key** in the designated fields.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.

You are now connected to Browserless.
